Karin Young is a professional therapist based in South London. She approached me to redesign her existing Wix website, which had become dated and limited in what she could update.
We started in Figma, developing a website concept that reflects Karin's calm and approachable nature, then moved into Webflow for the build. The colour palette is intentionally subtle, complementing nature-themed imagery and supporting the therapeutic tone of the practice.
The Webflow site integrates a dynamic booking calendar and a blog area, both manageable directly by Karin through the Webflow Editor. Since launch, the site has helped grow her client base, and Karin handles ongoing content updates herself with no developer involvement.
Project scope
- Websites
- Website development
Karin Young had built a successful therapy practice in South London, but her digital presence was stuck on a dated Wix site that she had outgrown years ago. The platform limited what she could update, and the design no longer reflected the calm, approachable nature of her practice.
For a therapist, the website does a significant amount of pre-session work: it's where potential clients decide whether they feel safe enough to book a conversation.
The constraint was practical as much as aesthetic. Karin needed a site she could manage herself after launch. She's a therapist, not a web developer, and every minute spent wrestling with a content management system was a minute not spent with clients. The build had to deliver a professional, calming design while making content updates simple enough that they wouldn't become a barrier to keeping the site current.
