Platform expertise

Website Migration Services

Moving your website to a better platform should not cost you traffic, rankings, or sleep. I handle the migration so your business keeps running; and your new site performs better than the old one ever did.

What you get

Careful URL mapping

Important URLs are mapped and redirects tested to protect traffic and make the move easy to follow.

Content preserved

Pages, images and metadata move into a CMS structure shaped around the content you already have.

A faster foundation

The new build starts lean, responsive and ready to measure against the old site.

Process

How I migrate a website without breaking anything

The migration process runs in parallel with your live site; zero downtime. Phase 1: crawl and map every URL, every image, every redirect. Phase 2: rebuild the content structure in Webflow CMS. Phase 3: apply the design (either a refresh or a direct port). Phase 4: test every link, every form, every page on staging. Phase 5: switch DNS and monitor for 48 hours. If anything breaks, I am still watching.

Before any migration, a thorough audit ensures nothing gets missed. See the website audit page for the pre-migration audit.

Platforms

WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify; I have migrated them all

Every platform exports differently. WordPress gives you an XML file with posts, pages, and media; but the taxonomy and ACF fields need manual mapping. Wix and Squarespace are closed systems; you get a sitemap and a prayer. I have scripts for each, so the heavy lifting is automated, not manual. The content lands in Webflow CMS collections structured the way your team needs them, not the way the export file organised them.

For what your new Webflow site can do that your old platform could not, see the Webflow developer overview.

SEO

SEO preservation: why most migrations lose 30% of traffic and how I prevent it

The #1 migration failure is URL structure changes without proper 301 redirects. Google treats every changed URL as a new page; zero authority, zero rankings. I map every single URL from your old site to its new equivalent, implement redirects at the server level (not JavaScript), and submit the new sitemap within hours of launch. The second failure: missing schema. If your old site had review stars in search results and the new one does not, your CTR drops even if rankings hold. I migrate your schema alongside your content.

After Launch

After migration: maintenance, optimisation, and the next phase

Migration is not the end; it is the beginning of having a site on a platform you can actually use. Webflow gives you visual editing, fast hosting, and a CMS your team can manage without a developer. After launch, I hand over admin access, train your team, and offer ongoing maintenance for updates, new pages, and performance monitoring. Most clients keep me on retainer because they realise how much faster they can move with Webflow; the migration was just the unlock.

For ongoing support after your migration is complete, see Webflow maintenance.
